the chosen // my top holy week recommendation

Hey y’all!

I’m sorry this is a little late today! I’ve had a lot on my plate mentally and honestly I didn’t want to write a post today lol.

Even so, I didn’t want to leave you with nothing.

It’s Holy Week, if you haven’t noticed. This is one of my favorite times of the year. The story of Jesus gets told more than usual, and we get to celebrate salvation!! Also it means my birthday is close XD

Because it is Holy Week, I thought I’d recommend a series that I’ve fallen in love with recently: The Chosen. This is a new telling of the story of Jesus, and honestly, I think it’s the most accurate, open, and honest tellings that I’ve ever seen.

also apologies to my best friend who has been listening to me rant about this for days now XD

They only have season one right now and are funding for season two, which they hope to have funded by Easter (fingers crossed for that because summer/fall production time sounds good to me!!)

But the coolest thing about this is that you can get it completely free. They have an app that is free (called The Chosen) that you can stream from or you can find the episodes on their YouTube channel.

I’d really encourage you to check them out. This series has touched me so much already. The actors are fantastic and it doesn’t feel like some sappy Christian series. The Holy Spirit is moving in this team, and the results are breathtaking.

So please, I’d encourage you to watch The Chosen if you haven’t already. We all have plenty of free time now. XD I’m half way through the first season, myself. 🙂

He is alive, my friends. He is moving and breathing, and He is in us as well. I pray that this Easter sees you well and happy and safe.

I know it’s not Easter yet but, He is Risen, friends.
