Hey y’all!
Quick little thing before the tag; things really have gone crazy since the last post. I wanted to use this platform to say a few things. First of all, nothing that is happening is out of God’s hand. He is holding each one of us close to His heart and will never let us go. This doesn’t mean that we won’t be a little scared, but this does mean we don’t have to be. He is the God of miracles, and I believe that no matter the outcome, He is sovereign.
Second, let’s be considerate of others! Don’t go out and buy 87 cases of toilet paper, because we all need some, let’s be real. 🙂 Just because things are uncertain does not mean we need to panic. Let’s take a couple deep breaths and be smart about things. WASH YOUR HANDS. DON’T GO LICKING THINGS. TRY NOT TO TOUCH YOUR FACE. COUGH INTO YOUR ELBOW PLEASE. AVOID PUBLIC PLACES, BUT IF YOU NEED TO GO OUT, BE SMART. 🙂
Below is my favorite video right now. Listen to her, everyone. XD
Alrighty, now to the tag. 🙂

Have you ever watched a movie adaptation that was better than its book counterpart? If so, what was it, and why was it better?
Gahhhhhhhh… I hope I don’t get hate mail for this answer! I have always liked The Lord of The Rings movies better than the books! Don’t get me wrong, the books are fan-flipping-tastic, but I really like seeing it in front of me. Also I really like Merry and Pippin. And Aragorn. And Orlando Bloom as Legolas. And-
What is your least favorite color to wear, and why?
HAH. This is good. Well, hm. People who know my family in real life give us a hard time because we apparently have an unofficial dress code. We wear navys/greys (or variants thereof) constantly and people give us a hard time about it. I have begun branching out more with color palettes and I really like yellows and maroons. However, I don’t often wear white. I just don’t own anything that I really like the way it looks. I think it ties with purples. I don’t really know how to answer this question honestly, because if I find something I really like in an “eh” color, I’ll usually just suck it up because it’s cute and so what. *shrugs* Sorry, I totally just ruined the question with my inability to answer a question normally and decisively. XD
What is your favorite restaurant?
Ah come on, I didn’t know that this was a hard tag. 😀 Dude, I love so many restaurants… Hm. I love pasta a lot, so my top picks would probably be Noodles & Company, Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Buca di Beppo, The Old Spaghetti Factory… I just like Italian food, man. I LOVE FOOD. ❤
What is your favorite quote from a nonfiction book?
Ooh. This is good. Okay, I finished Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson last week and my goodness, it was fantastic to the last page. My favorite quote (and when I say favorite, I mean I literally underlined it and circled it, which is RARE for me) is this one:
I want you, dear reader, to remember that one holy way of mending the world is to sing, to write, to paint, to weave new worlds. Because the seed of your feeble-yet-faithful work fell to the ground, died, and rose again, what Christ has done through you will call forth praise from lonesome travelers long after your name is forgotten. They will know someone lived and loved here.
Whoever they were, they will think, they belonged to God. It’s clear that they believed that the stories of Jesus were true, and it gave them a hope that made their lives beautiful in ways that will unfold for ages among the linnea that shimmers in the moonlit woods.
This is why the Enemy wants you to think you have no song to write, no story to tell, no painting to paint. He wants to quiet you. So sing. Let the Word by which the Creator made you fill your imagination, guide your pen, lead you from note to note until a melody is strung together like a glimmering constellation in the clear sky. (this part I specifically underlined) Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor, too, by making worlds and works of beauty that blanket the earth like flowers. Let your homesickness keep you always from spiritual slumber.
Adorning the Dark, Andrew Peterson
Isn’t that fantastic? If I hadn’t been out in public at the time, I would have openly wept reading that. I’m gonna reread the book, and I’ll definitely cry when I hit that part.
Have you been to Disneyland and/or Disney World? If yes, did you enjoy it? If not, do you want to?
I’ve been to both! I used to live an hour away from Disneyland, so I went a lot growing up. Within the past five years or so, I have lived closer to Disney World so my family has gone there now. I love them both a bunch for different reasons and want to go to either one for my senior trip. Disneyland has a magical nostalgia to me and it will always have a suuuper special place in my heart. Disney World is magic to older Maddy. I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s my adventure place. (I hugged the Hundred Acre Wood Gang last time I was there and my heart burst.) Anyways, I love both! 🙂
Now to my favorite posts! (This is just from the relatively recent ones because haha I’ve written 102 posts on here and I am not scrolling through all of them XD)

My questions to you, should you do this tag, are as follows:
- If you could pick one picture from your camera roll to keep forever, which one would it be and why?
- Do you name random objects? If so, which is your favorite one? (my computer’s name is Finnigan and my little succulent’s name is Edgar)
- What are the books you learned the most from (one fiction and one non-fiction)?
- Thoughts on coffee? Yes/no?
- How do you get yourself out of a writing rut?
- What are your top three favorite songs right now?
Hahaha that’s SIX questions because I am a rebel. XD
Alrighty folks! Don’t forget to wash your hands, and stay safe!
Now go forth, mis amigos and amigas, and smile. Your day is just beginning. Make the best of it. Don’t procrastinate. Work hard. Make me proud. 🙂

Ah, thank you so much for the tag!! This looks like a fun one!
OH MAN I love that quote so much! I realllly need to get me a copy of Adorning the Dark! I’ve heard so many good things about it, and Andrew Peterson’s thoughts are just so beautiful and insightful.
The Lord of the Rings is my favorite book series, and the The Lord of the Rings are my favorite movies. It’s hard to decide which one is better. 😀 I did think they cast the movies SO PERFECTLY, but…the books are hard to beat, too! 😀
