ezra; my new helper // in which i create a imaginary writing buddy of sorts

Hey y’all!

It’s been a week of healing this past week, and I will admit, as much as I wanted to say this was really well thought out and planned, this post was hastily written late at night. Hey, sometimes we got to be honest here.

My sleeping habits are out of control and it’s a problem. xD Summertime does things to you, kiddos.

My mouth is not in pain anymore and I am able to eat all food now! (people keep going “are you still on mac and cheese and jello” and I go “I had steak on saturday i’m doing just fine”) The Lord has done some miraculous things with this healing process and I am sooo grateful. I like my food, guys.

When I was trying to think of what to blog about this time, I had initially planned to do a post on my trip to the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. But then I got tagged by a fellow blogger (Amelie!!) for the Imaginary Assistant tag and I simply had to do it!

I still really want to talk about the trip to Kansas City because it was great and I loved it, but that will probably happen not next week but the week after. We get a great guest post next week from my best friend! ❤

1 . What type of creature/species would you like your assistant to be (human, animal, dragon, dinosaur, figment of your imagination, etc.) and why?

Hmm. This is harder than I expected… xD okay, it comes down to this. After long consideration, as much as I really would love having a fluffy puppy baby or a dragon (heck yeah man) as an assistant, I would be soooo stinking distracted all the time by the dog or dragon. I would get less writing done than I do now… *SIGHS*

It may seem weird, but I would like a teenage boy to be my assistant. I will explain. I like having guys as friends because they can almost always provide a different perspective on whatever you ask them about. Plus also I just like nice guys. Idk XD

2. What do you want your assistant to look like?

YOU TAKE SUGGESTIONS? Wow. Honestly, I don’t really care. I just want to be able to go “look at that dork over there that is my friend and he’s insanely talented at keeping me on task and writing”. I mean, idk blue eyes are a plus. I may be biased there but… hey.

But seriously in all honesty, I truly don’t care too much about physical appearance. It’s always the inside that counts for me. I could care less about someone’s face.

3. What qualities are you looking for in an assistant (responsible, lovable, exasperating, etc.)?

Haaaa I know this because I know myself as well as what type of people work well with me. (thank you enneagram) Reliable, hard-working, responsible, trustworthy, loyal.

4. What job(s) would your assistant be in charge of?

a. motivating me when I just want to sleep.

b. making me go to sleep when I don’t want to.

c. keeping me on track.

d. feeding me food when i am about to crash.

e. being there to listen when I need to talk about ideas and plotpoints

f. point me back to the Truth of all things whenever I start to fade away. (He’d need to be pretty strong in Jesus before I would ever trust him with my time) XD

5. What would you like your assistant to be named?

Ezra. this is a really funny joke pls laugh it means help in hebrew help me

6. What would you feed your assistant (candy, books, pickles, etc.)?

Of all the ones eating here, it would not be me worried about feeding him. See 3 and 4d. He is a responsible boy. He lives off of Thai food. We have Thai food together every other week and talk about accomplishments.

7. How would you pay your assistant and what benefits would you offer as compensation for their work?

Well, I’m kinda broke so like it ain’t gonna be money… Sorry Ezra buddy… he’d have my eternal loyalty and friendship? Actually that is one of the best things about me (and I know that sounds so so proud and stupid but like no really). If I really like a person, I would pretty much die for them. They have my undying affection till the end of time.

As for compensation, I can make a mean box mac&cheese… Ezra is in luck. He would never starve. I can make playlists too…? Does that count?

8. What special abilities would your like your assistant to have (ice powers to freeze writer’s block, super strength to break writer’s block, super stupidity to stare at you while you’re having writer’s blog, etc.)?

WOAH THOSE ARE COOL. Ezra, baby bean, has none of those unfortunately, but you know what he does have? The power of humor and creativity. He is so smart and funny that whenever I feel incapable of doing a project or thinking of ideas, he just talks me through it and we are all good to go.

he is like reaaaaally funny.

9. Where would you like your assistant to be from (Jurassic Park, Narnia, your head, etc.)?

I think just my head? I mean I want him to exist in real life, but he isn’t from Narnia or anything. He’s a rEEEEEEEEAl BoY! XD

10. Will you solemnly swear not to fire your assistant in sickness or health, for richer or poorer, smarter or stupider, writing or not writing, for as long as you both shall live?

Amen amen amen. When does Ezra get here? 😀
