Something super cool is going on today! One of my friends is releasing her book cover!
To celebrate, she is hosting a giveaway! The three books (not a bundle) she’s giving away are:
- Resistance by Jaye L. Night
- A World Through Autistic Eyes by Natalie Marie
- When Chronic Pain And Illness Take Everything Away: How To Mourn Our Losses by Esther Smith
Isn’t that a great selection of books? Here’s the fun little twist: you can only enter once you have the code words!! To do this, she has created a sort of “scavenger hunt”! (It’s super clever and I love it. 🙂 )
To be able to enter, you must visit all four blogs and find the clue word in each.
But I’m getting wAAAAYYY ahead of myself. You probably should know about my dear friend, Sara, and her book!
Are you a teenager trying to navigate faith through chronic illness? I’m here to tell you, you are not alone.
When sickness takes over your life, it’s a never-ending battle to make it through each day. How do you cope? How do you keep fighting? Most of all though, how do you find God in the midst of the suffering?
Through my own journey of sickness, I’ve struggled with the same questions—questions we all think but are afraid to ask. My name is Sara, and I’ve been sick with Lyme disease and more since I was fourteen.
Those questions you’re afraid to ask? I’ve asked them too—as have many others.
This book addresses topics and questions such as:
- Why is there sickness?
- Where is God in sickness?
- Resting in the storm
- How to deal with the way chronic illness changes you
- Joy and despair
- Praying through chronic illness
- Relationships in the midst of chronic illness
- And more!
The journey of illness is not an easy one, but hope remains. God hasn’t left us. He hasn’t forgotten us. On the contrary, He’s making diamonds out of us.
Okay now to the details!
Here is a list of the stops to make on your scavenger hunt:
*gasspppppp* it’s so pretty!!!! Guys I literally just saw this yesterday! Agh so beautiful.
I don’t know about you, but it’s so refreshing to read about someone who is going through something hard yet is walking side-by-side with the Lord. She provides a reminder: “God hasn’t left us. He hasn’t forgotten us. On the contrary, He’s making diamonds out of us.”
Now go forth, mis amigos and amigas, and smile. Your day is just beginning. Make the best of it. Don’t procrastinate. Work hard. Make me proud. 🙂
Love you all,
(p.s. I’m postponing the Playlist Series until next month 🙂 not to worry, I have so many good things for you!!)
